Ok for some reason my fps only goes up to 86, no higher, ive changed my fps_max to 100 but it still wont go above 86. does anyone know how to fix this?
fps max doesnt ALWAYS do it try fps_modem 101 also and another thing it doesnt matter what ur fps_settings are if your monitors refresh rate isnt 100 most only go to 85 but u can get a prog called refresh lock and that will make it go to and stay at 100 peace. Slacker

seems like your refrech rate is at 85 and you've got vsync on.
It's very easy for me to tell the difference between 80 - 100 fps in CS, CS is not like any other well coded game where any above 60 is fine (sometimes even 30 in some games)
My little Noobi3 friend have'nt you done any reading silly wabbit your fps will not go higher than your monitors refresh rates it will be fake fps just like when you turn developer on hell i can get 685 fps but its not real its fake like your 100 fps adjust monitor refresh rates to fps rate for best results and back to the thread you need to set monitror refresh rates to 100 and turn v-sync off if you get teaing turn it back on i dont get tearing so theres your answer.

Jonathon I didnt realize that we were friends and that you had such deep feelings for me....its very sweet but I have enough friends just stick to posting about the topic and try to give accurate information in the future.
